Ahornsirup Grad A

Maple syrup is the boiled down sap of the sugar maple. It is only harvested a few weeks in spring. The trunks are drilled without damaging the tree - and the sap is extracted. The different grades determine the taste quality and depend on the time of harvest. At the beginning, the juice is lighter with a fine, mild aroma (grade A), towards the end it becomes naturally darker and stronger in taste. (From Canada. Mild in taste.)
